UN AS WORLD GOVERNMENT 2: THE PROBLEM OF LEGITIMACY
PUBLISHED: 30th June, 2014 | By Richard Heathen
In the 70 year quest to establish itself as a one world government the United Nations has struggled with the idea of legitimacy. Even as it is continually expanding, the UN's chief problem is one of image. The UN has been exposed in numerous scandals, from being exposed working with oppressive third world regimes enforcing coercive population control measure such as forced sterilization and abortions, to being involved in the Dyncorp human trafficking scandal. Even though the UN has been caught in these scandals, surprisingly it's most pressing PR issue isn't it's history of human rights abuses, but the perception that it is just a bloated and useless ineffective bureaucracy, that is out out touch. In an effort to combat that and to further its' goal of being a one world government, the United Nations is embarking on a campaign for an elected UN Parliament. Numerous members of the Canadian Parliament have signed a petition to support this campaign. Not just low level back benchers but prominent Canadian politicians, such as leader of the Liberal Party Justin Trudeau, NDP MLA and the widow of the late NDP leader Jack Layton, Olivia Chow, and leader of the Green Party Elizabeth May. The Green Party even supports this campaign to expand the UN's scope and perceived legitimacy in plank 5.5 in their party platform they would model the UN Parliament after the European Union Parliament which now writes many of the laws of EU member states. The Green Party Platform states they would:
Launch a global dialogue on the notion of a bicameral UN, with one house being the General Assembly of nation-state representatives, and a Peoples’ Assembly, as in the European Parliament, with direct election on behalf of the worlds’ peoples.
The Green Parties Platform also calls for a strengthening of the United Nations as a whole over other global institutions such as the IMF and World Bank, and to move these monoliths of the already centrally planned global economy under direct control of the United Nations:
Re-organize other powerful multilateral institutions -, the World Trade Organization (WTO), the IMF and the World Bank -, placing these institutions under the authority of the UN General Assembly, and shift the direction of international trade away from "free trade" to "fair trade" focusing on the global protection of human rights, labour standards, cultural diversity, and ecosystems
In total, 69 treasonous sitting Canadian MP's and senators have signed on in support of the campaign for a UN Parliament.
A group of dictators and autocrats from 133 countries within the UN recently got together in Bolivia, joined by Secretary General of UN Ban Ki-moon to call for what they called a "New World Order for Living Well". What this declaration calls for, is massive transfers of wealth and technology from western taxpayers into the hands of these corrupt and despotic dictatorships. Central planning and sustainable development (but I repeat myself) are the cornerstones of this agreement also known as the Santa Cruz declaration. Member nations at the Bolivia conference include: China, North Korea, El Salvador, Iran, Mozambique, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Vietnam, Algeria, and many many others.
The United Nations is furthering a decidedly leftist agenda not only economically, but socially, showing it has a highly partisan agenda. In the next chapter we will look at how the UN is formulating it's Post 2015 Development Goals in order to expand it's power and further it's decidedly left wing “progressive” agenda.
