"IT IS THE GAY LOBBY THAT IS ATTEMPTING TO IMPOSE ITS WILL ON BOURGEOIS AMERICA BY ROBBING THEM OF THEIR SCHOOLS, THEIR TAXES, AND THEIR RIGHTS IN ORDER TO SUBSIDIZE A SEXUAL PREFERENCE. AND THEY WONDER WHY THEY ARE DISLIKED BY ORDINARY AMERICANS!..."
A TALE OF TWO TUCKERS
PUBLISHED: 22nd August, 2018 | By MAX SAND
"Onward to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, which had an exhibit of Van Gogh paintings, but it turned out that the lines and wait were too long to make it feasible. That was ok: there was plenty to see in the museum itself. Entering through the double doors, I had to make my way through room after room of African masks and voodoo dolls dating from no particular time, as well as clay pots and things crafted by all sorts of third-world people.
I’m happy for these people that they have their ways, though some of it gave me the creeps. But I want to know: why is all this primitive nonsense in a prestigious museum? Even more absurdly, why does it take up the first three rooms in a place that surely lacks sufficient space for exhibits? Clearly the nutty multiculturalists had prevailed here.
But the consumer had the final word. The third-world rooms were completely empty but for people rushing through to get to the: “European Art,” said the sign. Actually, it was what used to just be called Art. You know, art art. A roomful of magnificent painting by all the old masters."
-Jeffrey Tucker from LewRockwell.com circa 2000
Recently, Jeff Tucker has decided he would lead the "libertartian" charge against the strawman he created of the Alt Right. Many articles have been written, by him, against him, espousing many arguments, lines of thinking. Recently, my friend Richard wrote a 22 page piece, in great depth, being quite fair to Tucker and making well thought out arguments. It would have been better for Mr. Tucker to ignore it, or write a lengthy response and fill it full of ads, but his response was interesting: He shared it and said he wouldn't respond.
This, to me, suggests he was a bit hurt in the rectal area by it, as either ignoring or capitalizing on it would make more business sense, but he did neither. Sometimes bottom lines isn't all that matters, even for Mr. Tucker, which sort of negates his entire premise that the free market always acts in it's own best interest, but that's tangential and I don't intend to fill this with counter arguments, the editor here tried that and got nothing. Instead I am going to take a different approach.
A Secret History
Jeff Tucker was a hardcore, RACIST Paleo Libertarian not 20 years ago, evidenced by such pieces as this, where he can be quoted as saying:
“He lends credibility to the leftist tale about race in America, and gets positively angry if anyone voices complaints about racial social engineering, or even suggests, as Alan Keyes did, that poor blacks need better values.”
Such a quote which would be right at home in 2018 on an alt right podcast. That is just a taste of his work, another notable example is article about the left's "Maoist tactics" of staining one's reputation with the label racist, and how it should be embraced. Or how about the gem where he mocked the very notion that minorities have rights. That's just under his own name. Many believe he authored the now infamous "Racist Ron Paul Newsletters" in the 80s and 90s. Altho there is no smoking gun to confirm this, there is plenty of circumstantial evidence. Personally I believe it was multiple authors, Tucker among them.
Why would that matter?
It matters because Jeff Tucker was Alt Right before Alt Right existed. He was a racist libertarian hoping for less African artwork so he could see his European Masters paintings. He didn't want Sweaty Ethnics getting off the boat. He didn't like blacks because they soaked up his tax money. He made jokes about minorities, supported Rothbard's right wing populism, and was every bit as "Alt Right" as any 4channer with an anime avatar and 3 sock accounts on FB is today.
Why does THAT matter, though?
It is important because Jeff is trying to erase his past and forge a new mythology where he was always a left libertarian. Even a simple glance at wikiquotes shows a staggering disconnect between his past and present beliefs, without any inference from outside sources and merely chronology of notable quotes he himself has written in his lengthy career. You don't need me to tell you 1996 Jeff and 2018 Jeff are so different, they might actually hate each other, just read each version of Tucker's words, back to back, for yourself and tell me that's not a massive disconnect. People change, sure, but this radically, to where new Jeff would be calling HIMSELF a Nazi fascist meany? You don't get to sweep that under the rug, Jeff, you need to confront your own past openly. Tell us in no uncertain terms, by 2018 Jeff's own standards, 1996 Jeff was a Nazi. Period. I want you to say it openly, Jeff, you used to be a Nazi.
Why did he leave it in the past?
A cynical person may say he saw the futility of a hard right, proto racist stance after so long, and in the age of "#DiversityisStrength" and all that. That he saw a market open up for cucky libertarians with bow ties sucking up to neoliberals for table scraps and was pushing towards retirement age. I wouldn't disagree with said cynic.
However I think it's more complicated. I think he believed the arguments. I think he believes his arguments now too. I think he feels he is atoning for his past which he feels guilty about for some reason, and the biggest of all, he is virtue signalling so these new left win libertarians will throw him a few dollars so he can buy more garbage fast food and have that inevitable heart attack come sooner.
The Irony of Tucker in 2018 is he lambasts a "fringe movement" whom he strawmans as Nazis, whilst being only relevant to a fringe movement himself. The highest profile person ever associated with FEE, isn't Tucker, It's Glenn "Kane" Jacobs, a world champion wrestler turned Mayor of Knox County and a Trump Supporter and American Patriot, who has said that we need to tackle getting rid of the welfare state to even entertain mass migration. Kane is in a position to make policy changes and Tucker is writing clickbait in hopes he can buy his next case of Bourbon before alcoholism takes his liver. He says he shouldn't respond to us(Newsflash that's a response), we shouldn't respond to him, but I enjoy a good laugh, and his inevitable spin on this will make for a few good screencaps, and angry clicks by his handful of diehard fans(thanks for the ad revenue and metrics, all 3 of you).
A Warm Wish
Tucker, in all seriousness, you are too funny to die on me, so quit the fast food and drinking. A man your age can't sustain that kind of lifestyle for long. I want to mock you and your obvious self loathing, hypocrisy and mental gymnastics for decades to come. Here's to the health of a meme of a man who is a shell of his former self, barking like a trained seal to the leftist mob in the hopes they give him a fish. Here's to Jeff Tucker.
